Alkaline Electrolysis

The main function of the Alkaline Electrolysis Cell is to split water (which is co-captured with CO2 from the air) into hydrogen and oxygen. The current available projects are organized around the following key questions.

Key questions:

  • What is the best control strategy of the alkaline electrolysis unit.
  • Can we remove enough CO2 from the feedwater.
  • Is the flow geometry in the stack of sufficient quality?
  • What is the best strategy for safely operating the unit.
  • How to produce a low cost unit?

We have projects for all backgrounds and levels (MBO, HBO, WO). Take the first step and receive personal consultation about projects that fit your background and interests.

Personal consultation

Every internship is different and each educational institution requires a different approach. That’s why we start with consultation. Send us some info (like your CV, starting periode, etc) and we will inform you about the options that we have for you.

After the consultation we start with the actual application stage where we plan an interview where we can even give you a virtual tour of our workspace. If it’s a mutual match we go to the onboarding stage.

If it’s a match it’s time to arrange all the formalities. In this stage we make sure that you have a project description which is approved by your educational institution and we make sure that everything is ready so that you have a great start at ZEF!
