Key Questions:

  1. How did you hear about ZEF and the project you worked on?

I heard from ZEF via a friend who has been part of an earlier ZEF team, and also saw many flyers around 3ME.

  1. Do you feel that your time at ZEF has contributed to your studies and to your work experience? In what ways?

Yes, apart from the development regarding academic skills, it has been a good environment to experience how life at a start-up is and also learn about the non engineering activities, such as the business plan etc.

  1. What was the social atmosphere at ZEF like? Do any social activities take place during the project?

The social atmosphere was very relaxed and light and fun, even though everyone in the team was hard working and ambitious. It was a good atmosphere to do great things, whilst having fun. During my time at ZEF we had organized a ‘fun day’ which was an afternoon of games followed by drinks. There were also regular Friday afternoon drinks, which were fun.

  1. Do you feel that you got to express your ideas, experience, skills, and creativity during your time at ZEF?

Yes, there was a lot of freedom to express ideas and creativity on my project.

  1. Do you feel that you were trusted to work independently on your tasks and that you were given enough responsibilities?

As I joined ZEF for my graduation project I could work very independently on my project, whilst having plenty of resources and help to accomplish results.

  1. Was your time at ZEF what you imagined and hoped it would be?

Yes, I very much enjoyed my time at ZEF.

  1. What did you think about ZEF, and the overall idea/venture of the company?

I was impressed by the energy and thought put behind the core ideas of ZEF, and hope they will achieve a fuly working prototype soon.

  1. What are you up to nowadays?

I am currently working as a strategy consultant. Although most of the projects are not on sustainability I have been involved in some sustainability/NGO work.

01.

Initial contact

Every internship is different and each educational institution requires a different approach. That’s why we start with an assesment of your background to see if there could be a match. It starts with sending us some info (like your CV, starting periode, etc).

02.

Meeting(s)

After the initial assessment of the info you sent we start with the actual application stage where we plan interviews. In these interviews we discuss your application and give you additional info about ZEF and some specific assignments. If the meetings are positive we can go to the final stage.

03.

Onboarding

If it’s a match it’s time to arrange all the formalities. In this stage we make sure that you have a project description which is approved by your educational institution and we make sure that everything is ready so that you have a great start at ZEF!
